After School Care Information

Purpose  and Fee Schedule

 

PURPOSE:
The extended care program provides child supervision for families whose work prevents them from adhering to regular school hours.   

SERVICE:
The program includes the supervision of elementary-age students after the regular school day.  Care for students will be provided on official school days between the hours of 3:15 and 5:45 p.m.  The afternoon session may include as much time as 2 1/2 hours.  Students will be dismissed from the regular classroom teacher to the extended care supervisor at 3:15 p.m. 

EARLY DISMISSAL DAYS:
Extended care service may be offered on school days with early dismissal. Due to the additional length of the program, the fee for the afternoon service on those days will be $5.00 until 3:00 p.m.  Regular afternoon rates will go into effect after 3:00 p.m.)

ACTIVITIES:
Students may be involved in the following activities:
            1.    Preparation of homework
            2.    Playground - weather permitting
            3.    Organized room activities, both individual and group
            4.    Daily snack

ENROLLMENT:
Parents may enroll students in the extended care program by requesting and completing an extended care enrollment form, or it may be part of the current online enrollment packet. If so, every student will be enrolled and may use the program at any time. The parents must have on file with the school the Emergency Medical Care and Consent Form as well as current immunization records.

RELEASE of STUDENTS:
Students will be released only to parents or those authorized by parents.  The names and identity of the authorized individuals must be included on the enrollment form.
