Meet our Administrators

Laura Smith
Head of School

Laura Smith's journey in Christian school education began over three decades ago, when she and her husband moved to Greenville for his position at E-Systems. Enrolling their daughter at Greenville Christian School marked the start of a significant and enduring connection with Christian education.

After moving to Rockwall, Laura's professional career took root at Heritage Christian Academy, where she dedicated 12 years to teaching and advanced to the role of Upper School Principal. For the past 17 years, she has been a vital part of McKinney Christian Academy, serving as the Upper School Principal for 15 of those years. Laura's career is marked by her diverse leadership roles and cross-departmental collaborations, all aimed at upholding the values of Christian education.

Laura's dedication to Christian education is deeply personal. With three daughters who graduated from Christian schools and a grandson currently enrolled, she has witnessed firsthand its transformative impact. She is a fervent advocate for the unique opportunities provided by Christian schools, emphasizing Biblical Integration and the importance of faith in Jesus Christ.

Certified as an ACSI Head of School and holding State of Texas Teacher Certifications for grades 6-12 in Science and Math, Laura is well-equipped for leadership in education. Her academic background includes a Bachelors of Science in Secondary Education and Geology from the University of Arkansas, along with additional advanced level coursework in School Law, Administrative Leadership and Education.

Currently residing in Rockwall, Laura is excited to bring her extensive experience and passion for Christian education to Greenville Christian School. She is eager to contribute to its mission and lead with a focus on academic excellence within a distinctively Christian educational environment.

Laura's life verse: “Do not fear for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
