Theater Arts

The American Alliance for Theatre Education states:

BUILDING SELF-ESTEEM THROUGH DRAMA
Playwriting original works and dramatic presentation of existing works can help to build the self-esteem and communication skills of high school students. The act of performing can help students and young people recognize their potential for success and improve their confidence.

Our theater arts program at GC not only builds students' self-esteem and communication skills, it also teaches them excellence. Our program is known for exceptional student talent in both acting and production. In addition, and in keeping with our mission, our theater arts program develops leadership skills. Several students have gone on to direct plays while students in the school and to assist with theater in the community.

Theater at Greenville Christian is a well-loved program, and is available for grades 5-12. The program includes:

Jr. High Fall Play (Grades 5-8)
High School Fall Play (Grades 9-12)
TAPPS Competitions
Spring Dinner Theater
